Standard (high) viscosity surgical cements with gentamicin

High-viscosity surgical cements, designed for manual application and mixing using a sterile container and spatula. Their firm consistency allows for manual pressurization and controlled placement of implants.

The formulations with gentamicin integrate the antibiotic directly into the powder component to provide local antimicrobial activity without altering the core performance of the cement during handling.

• Suitable for both primary arthroplasty and revision procedures, where the risk of infection may be higher.

The amount of antibiotic in the formulation does not alter the mechanical properties of the cement, allowing surgeons to use these variants without the need to modify their cementation techniques or established workflow.
