ANTIBIOTIC-COATED PEDICLE NAIL SPACER
The Subiton EPA Pedicle Spacer with Antibiotic is indicated in those cases where, as a result of a local infectious process, the surgeon has decided to remove a spinal instrumentation system.
The placement of a Subiton EPA in each orifice (Previously occupied by a transpedicular screw) will prevent this hole from being occupied by granulation tissue, will contribute to the local treatment of the infection and will facilitate its identification during the re-implantation surgery of the definitive instrumentation system (rescue screw).
The Subiton EPA Pedicle Spacer has a central metal structure made of implantable surgical steel, lined with a thin layer of surgical acrylic cement with antibiotic. This device is provided sterile, ready to use and in several sizes.
