HIP SPACER WITH ANTIBIOTIC.
Subiton Spacer is designed to replace (for a limited time) prosthetic components in an infected joint and aid in its healing. It also offers various advantages related to the patient’s quality of life during the treatment of the infection and makes revision surgery easier, both in the positioning of the definite prosthesis as during patient’s rehabilitation.
- Efficient release of antibiotic in place.
- Spacer metallic structure (nucleus) guarantees resistance to physiological mechanical stress.
- The presence of Subiton Spacer prevents proximal movements (rise) of the upper femur with the resulting axis deviation of the inferior member caused by the retraction of the periarticular muscles of hip, therefore making easier the subsequent revision and reimplantation surgery.
- Early patient recovery due to correct motion and early mobilization.
