GLASS IONOMER FOR FILLINGS.
Glass ionomer cement capable of chemically adhering to the dental structure, it is bio-compatible, even in deep cavities , due to the high molecular weight of the acid component in the liquid. The high fluoride concentration in the powder permits its release in the oral environment, thus reducing the secondary cavity incidence due to marginal leakage. Its mechanical properties are similar to those of the dentine, which permits to substitute it in deep cavities.
