GLASS IONOMER CEMENT FOR CEMENTING RIGID RESTORATIONS AND ORHTODONTIC BANDS.
Glass ionomer cement capable of chemically adhering to the dental structure, it is bio-compatible, even in deep cavities, due to the high molecular weight of the acid component in the liquid. The high fluoride concentration in the powder permits its release in the oral environment, thus reducing cavity incidence. The film obtained is stable due to its low solubility. These characteristics, together with its mechanical properties make it the material of choice for the fixation of rigid restorations and orthodontic bands.
